Le présent article porte sur un des blocs de remploi du temple d’Amon-Rê à Karnak, récemment attribués au règne d’Amenhotep III et rattachés à un cycle iconographique jubilaire du temple des millions d’années du roi. Ce bloc a conservé la représentation fragmentaire d’un complexe palatial royal implanté dans un milieu naturel caractérisé par la présence de « monts » d’un genre assez inhabituel. À la faveur du nouveau contexte thématique et chronologique identifié pour ce bloc, une nouvelle interprétation de son iconographie peut être proposée: à savoir le complexe jubilaire d’Amenhotep III de Malqata, qui pourrait correspondre au marou d’Amon décrit par la stèle du Kôm el-Hettan (CG 34025).

In the temple of Amun-Re in Karnak several reused blocks bearing a few naturalistic scenes have been recently dated to the reign of Amenhotep III and associated with an iconographical cycle of the royal jubilee. This questions the interpretation of those documents. This article focuses on a decorated block with a partial representation of a royal palace complex built in a natural environment showing “hills” of an unusual kind. In the light of this recent discoveries a new interpretation of its iconography can be proposed: the Amenhotep III’s jubilee complex unearthed at Malqata which could correspond to the Maru-Amen described by the stele of Kom el-Hettan (CG 34025).
