L’article présente une collection de douze figurines fragmentaires en terre cuite provenant de Deir el-Médina. Dix sont des hommes souffrant d’une cyphose, au dos poilu, et deux sont des hommes squelettiques, au dos voûté ; tous portent des traces, ou conservent en partie, un phallus démesuré. L’étude analyse ces caractères iconographiques que l’on ne rencontre que rarement dans l’art égyptien, et qui tous participent de la construction de personnages « hors normes ». Les figurines ont peut-être été brisées volontairement, dans un cadre éventuellement rituel qu’il n’est pas possible de définir précisément.

This article presents a collection of twelve fragmentary terracotta figurines from Deir el-Medina. Ten of the figurines depict kyphotic men with hairy backs, while the remaining two depict very skinny men with arched backs. All of the figurines bear traces of, or partially retain, a disproportionately large phallus. The study analyzes these iconographic features, which are rarely found in Egyptian art, and which all contribute to the creation of "out of the norm" characters. The figurines may have been intentionally broken, perhaps as part of a ritual that is difficult to define precisely.

يقدم هذا المقال مجموعة من اثني عشر تمثالًا مجزءًا من الفخار من دير المدينة. عشرة من هذه التماثيل هي عبارة عن رجال ذوي ظهور محدبة ومشعرة، واثنان منها عبارة عن رجال عظميين ذوي ظهور مقوسة؛ وجميعهم يحملون آثارًا، أو يحتفظون جزئيًا، بقضيب ضخم. وتحلل الدراسة هذه السمات التصويرية التي نادرًا ما توجد في الفن المصري، والتي تساهم جميعها في بناء شخصيات ”خارجة عن المألوف“. قد تكون التماثيل مكسورة عن عمد، ربما في إطار طقوس لا يمكن تحديدها بدقة.
