La statuette cube sistrophore publiée ici est l’un des rares monuments trouvés à Atfih. Elle fût découverte lors des fouilles du Conseil suprême des antiquités dans la nécropole des vaches sacrées en 1991 et conservée au magasin archéologique de ce site (inv. no 41). Les deux colonnes de texte gravées sur le pilier dorsal de la statuette commencent par la formule invocatoire adressée à Osiris-le-souverain qui réside à Atfih et s’achèvent par les titres de son dédicant, le père divin, supérieur des secrets d’Hathor maîtresse d’Atfih, prophète d’Horus-qui-est-sur-son-papyrus Padimin, fils du père divin, le prêtre processionaire Ânkhef[en]hor. D’après le style du texte, les titres, les dimensions de la statuette et le contexte archéologique, cet unique exemple de statue sistrophore d’Atfih date très probablement de la seconde moitié de la Troisième Période intermédiaire.

The sistrophorous statuette published here is among the rare monuments unearthed at Atfih. It was discovered in 1991 during the excavations of the Supreme Council of Antiquities in the necropolis of the sacred cows and is currently kept in the archaeological store of the site (inv. no. 41). The two columns of hieroglyphs on the back pillar begin with an invocation formula addressed to Osiris-the-sovereign who resides at Atfih and end with the titles of the owner, the God’s father, who is over the secrets of Hathor mistress of Atfih, prophet of Horus-who-is-upon-his-papyrus Padimin, son of the God’s father, procession priest Ankhef[en]hor. Based on the style of the text, the titles, the dimensions and the archaeological context, it is very likely that this unique example of sistrophorous statue from Atfih dates to the second half of the Third Intermediate Period.
