Publication d’un linteau de tombe de l’Ancien Empire, probablement lacunaire, appartenant à un certain Ihy, contremaître de Nekhen et contremaître du roi de Basse Égypte, dont le fils Metchetchi est noble du roi et directeur du bureau des fermiers du Palais. Il doit sans doute être identifié avec un dignitaire déjà connu par des éléments de sa propre tombe conservés dans différents musées. L’étude du linteau de son père n’apporte guère d’informations supplémentaires pour affiner la datation de Metchetchi, mais elle permet de reconsidérer l’inscription dans laquelle il affirme avoir fourni le trousseau funéraire de ses parents.

Publication of a tomb lintel of the Old Kingdom, probably incomplete, belonging to “Ihy”, overseer of Nekhen and overseer of the king of Lower Egypt, whose son Metjetji is a king’s nobleman and the office’s director of the Palace’s tenant farmers. He can be surely identified as a dignitary also known through elements from his own tomb conserved in various museums. The study of his father’s lintel doesn’t learn us much more information about the dating of Metjetji, but it allows to reconsider the inscription in which he claims having brought his parents tomb equipment.
