Cet article a pour but de publier une scène d’offrande unique du temple de Kom Ombo dans laquelle Ptolémée VIII offre le signe hiéroglyphique iit, au centre duquel est placé l’Œil d’Horus, à Haroéris. La scène se situe au milieu de la paroi nord de la salle hypostyle intérieure. Le signe iit représente le couteau (ou l’épée) d’Haroéris, avec lequel il combat les ennemis de son père. Il est également considéré comme un nom de Létopolis, la ville la plus célèbre pour Haroéris près du Delta. Enfin, le iit pourrait incarner le retour de la déesse-lionne dans la légende d’Onouris.

The following article aims to publish a very unique offering scene in the Temple of Kom Ombo. Ptolemy VIII offers the hieroglyphic sign iit to Haroeris. The Eye of Horus is inside this iit-sign. The scene is located in the middle of the north wall in the inner hypostyle. The iit-sign represents a most famous knife of Haroeris, with which he fights the enemies of his father. On the other side, the word iit is considered as a name of Letopolis, the most closed town for Haroeris near the Delta. Also it could be a symbolism for the coming back of the lion-goddess in the legend of Onuris.
