Les prémices du mouvement archaïsant à Thèbes et la statue Caire JE 37382 du quatrième prophète Djedkhonsouiouefânkh.
L’étude de la statue-cube Caire JE 37382 permet, malgré son mauvais état, de l’attribuer au quatrième prophète d’Amon et trésorier Djedkhonsouiouefânkh (C), déjà connu par d’autres documents. La statue date donc de la fin de la XXIIe dynastie à Thèbes. À travers ses particularités épigraphiques, elle se révèle être l’un des premiers exemples de la tendance dite « archaïsante », qu’on peut retrouver sur d’autres monuments de l’époque « libyenne » et notamment du viiie siècle.

The study of the block statue Cairo JE 37382, despite of its poor state of preservation, allows an identification of its owner as the fourth prophet of Amun and treasurer Djedkhonsuiufankh (C). This individual is already known from other sources and therefore the statue can be dated to the late 22 nd Dynasty at Thebes. Epigraphic peculiarities indicate that the statue is one of the very first examples of the so-called “archaizing” trend. This trend becomes a common feature of monuments dating to the “Libyan” Period, particularly during the 8 th century B.C.
