Le point de départ de cet article est un inventaire des mentions d’édifices thermaux antiochéens dans les sources écrites antiques. Il permet de proposer une évaluation de l’importance du parc thermal antiochéen, de préciser la chronologie de sa mise en place en la mettant en relation avec l’évolution de l’espace urbain, ainsi que d’étudier le rôle des édifices thermaux dans la constitution du paysage urbain et dans la construction mémorielle et sociale de la cité et de la ville.

The starting point of this paper is an inventory of Antiochian baths mentioned in ancient textual sources. It provides tools to estimate the number of baths in Antioch and to assess their chronology in connection with the evolution of the urban landscape. Furthermore, it helps to study the role of thermae in the urban development process and in the memorial and social construction of the city and town.
