نبذة عن المؤتمر 

مصر مهد الحضارة، تعاقبت على أرضها الكثير من الحضارات التي خلفت لنا تراثًا ممتدًا ومتواصلًا عبر التاريخ، وتعد الحضارة القبطية هي إحدى حلقات تلك الحضارة العريقة المعبرة عن الهوية المصرية. وتتميز الآثار القبطية بأنها تأثرت بما سبقها وأثرت فيما عاصرها ولحقها. ومن الجدير بالذكر أن مجال الآثار القبطية لا يزال في حاجة إلى مزيد من الدراسات والأبحاث . 

ومن هذا المنطلق وفي إطار التعاون العلمي بين كلية الآثار بجامعة عين شمس وجمعية الآثار القبطية والمعهد الفرنسي للآثار الشرقية بالقاهرة، نتشرف بدعوة المتخصصين في مجال الآثار القبطية (اللغة والعمارة والفنون والمخطوطات) للمشاركة في "المؤتمر الدولي الأول للآثار القبطية".

يسعى المؤتمر إلى الجمع بين شباب الباحثين والعلماء والآثاريين لتبادل الخبرات ومشاركة النتائج البحثية الجديدة في مجال الآثار القبطية.

أهداف المؤتمر  

يؤكد المؤتمر في فكرته الرئيسية على ثراء وتنوع الآثار القبطية، ويتجلى ذلك في مناقشته لعدد من الموضوعات المتخصصة مثل:

• دراسة وتحليل التأثيرات المتبادلة بين التراث القبطي والحضارات الأخرى، مثل الحضارة المصرية القديمة أو اليونانية والرومانية أو الإسلامية، ودراستها من خلال اللغة أو العمارة أو الفن أو المخطوطات. 
• إلقاء الضوء على الحياة اليومية للأقباط من خلال الدراسات الأثرية.
• تتبع تطور اللغة والعمارة والفنون والمخطوطات القبطية.

كما يهدف المؤتمر إلى إتاحة الفرصة لشباب الباحثين لعرض نتائج أبحاثهم الجديدة في مجال الآثار القبطية.

THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN COPTIC ARCHAEOLOGY

(LANGUAGE – ARCHITECTURE – ART – MANUSCRIPTS)

About the Conference:

Coptic archaeological heritage is as rich as it is diverse. The connections between the Coptic culture and the ancient Egyptian civilization are a testament to continued traditions some of which stand until today. Not only that, but the Coptic culture has influenced many others while having embraced traditions from other peoples.

The continued research on Coptic archaeology has revealed a wealth of information that is still constantly being broadened by ongoing scientific and academic investigations. In this regard, the Faculty of Archaeology at Ain Shams University, in cooperation with the Société d'Archéologie Copte, and the Institut français d'archéologie orientale, kindly invites specialists from different backgrounds working on Coptic archaeology to participate in "The First International Conference in Coptic Archaeology".

The Conference aims to bring together both young and leading scholars, professors, and archaeologists to exchange and share their research results on all aspects of Coptic Archaeology.

Conference Objectives:

While emphasizing the wealth of Coptic civilization is at the core of this conference, more specific objectives are:

• Analyzing influences between the Coptic culture and other cultures, such as ancient Egyptian, Greco-Roman, or Islamic cultures. These influences may be in art, architecture, language, or manuscripts.
• Shedding light on the daily life of the Copts through the archaeological studies.
• Tracing the development of Coptic architecture, art, language, and manuscripts.
• Supporting young scholars in the field of Coptic archaeology and providing them with a venue to present their ongoing research.
