حاصل على الدكتوراة من قسم الدراسات القبطية بجامعة ليدن بهولندا، ويعمل حاليًا مدرسًا للغة القبطية بكلية الآثار بجامعة سوهاج، وعضو مجلس إدارة مؤسسة القديس مرقس لدراسات التاريخ القبطي. ينصب أغلب اهتمامه على النصوص القبطية والعربية المنسوبة خطأً لآباء كنيسة الإسكندرية الكبار. وله كتابات علمية حول ظاهرة انتشار النصوص المنحولة في الأدب القبطي. بالإضافة إلى مجهوداته في نشر ثقافة الاهتمام بالدراسات القبطية في مصر كحقل دراسي أكاديمي. Ibrahim Saweros holds a PhD from the Department of Coptic Studies at the University of Leiden, Netherlands. He is currently teaching Coptic studies at the Faculty of Archeology at Sohag University and is a member of the Board of Directors of St. Mark’s Foundation for the Study of Coptic History. Most of his attention is focused on the Coptic and Arabic texts that are erroneously attributed to the fathers of the Greater Alexandria Church. He wrote on the phenomenon of the spread of texts in the Coptic literature, in addition to his efforts in spreading the culture of interest in Coptic studies in Egypt as an academic field.
