IFAO

كيف انتقلت مصر من القبطية، بوصفها المرحلة الأخيرة من اللغة المصرية القديمة، إلى العربية؟ وما العوامل التي أسهمت في هذا التحول اللغوي؟ وهل كان انتشار العربية نتيجة للتفاعل التدريجي بين العرب والمصريين، أم ارتبط بظروف تاريخية أدت إلى فرضها على السكان المحليين؟

لمناقشة هذه الأسئلة من خلال مقاربتين علميتين مستقلتين، يستضيف سيمنار البردي بالمعهد الفرنسي للآثار الشرقية (IFAO) كلًّا من الأستاذ الدكتور ماهر عيسى، أستاذ اللغة القبطية بجامعة الفيوم وعضو مجلس إدارة الرابطة الدولية للدراسات القبطية (IACS)، والأستاذ الدكتور سيباستيان ريشتار، رئيس الرابطة الدولية للدراسات القبطية (IACS) وأستاذ الدراسات القبطية بجامعة برلين الحرة.

ويقدم الباحثان محاضرتين منفصلتين حول الموضوع نفسه: تُلقى الأولى باللغة العربية، بينما تُلقى الثانية باللغة الإنجليزية. ولكل محاضرة محاورها الخاصة ومقاربتها العلمية ووجهة نظر صاحبها في تفسير هذه المرحلة من التاريخ اللغوي لمصر.

How did Egypt transition from Coptic—as the final stage of the Ancient Egyptian language—to Arabic? What factors contributed to this linguistic shift? Was the spread of Arabic the result of gradual interaction between Arabs and Egyptians, or was it linked to historical circumstances that led to its imposition on the local population?

To discuss these questions through two independent scholarly approaches, the Al-Bardi Seminar at the French Institute for Oriental Archaeology (IFAO) will host Professor Maher Issa, Professor of Coptic at Fayoum University and a member of the Board of Directors of the International Association for Coptic Studies (IACS), and Professor Dr Sebastian Richter, President of the International Association for Coptic Studies (IACS) and Professor of Coptic Studies at the Free University of Berlin.

The two researchers will deliver two separate lectures on the same topic: the first will be delivered in Arabic, whilst the second will be delivered in English. Each lecture will have its own themes, scholarly approach and the speaker’s perspective on interpreting this phase of Egypt’s linguistic history.
