تعتبر مهنة الغوص على اللؤلؤ من أقدم المهن التي مارسها أهل الخليج العربي ، وتعد مصدراً هاماً للرزق لدى الكثير من الأسر ، حيث عمل الغاصة على السفن الشراعية وفق نظم محددة وأعراف متوارثة منذ مئات السنين، وتوجد مواسم معينة لممارسة الغوص في مغاصات الخليج العربي وهي أربعة موسم الخانجية ثم الغوص الكبير ثم الردة وأخيراً الرديدة .
وقد عانى رجال البحر من مشاق هذه المهنة العريقة أثناء ركوبهم البحر في فصل الصيف الحار ، حيث تعرضوا للاسماك الخطرة والرياح الشديدة وأشعة الشمس الحارقة والتعب والعناء ، وقيلت الكثير من القصائد الرائعة التي شرحت معاناتهم وسط أمواج البحر ووثقوا صورا نادرة لتلك المهنة القديمة .
كما مارس بعض أبناء الخليج العربي مهنة الغوص في مغاصات سيلان وتفوقوا على الهنود في جمع المحار من داخل البحر .
وفي هذه المحاضرة سنسلط الضوء على جانب مهم من تاريخ الأجداد في ممارستهم لمهنة الغوص على اللؤلؤ .
The profession of pearl diving is considered one of the oldest professions practiced by the people of the Arabian Gulf, and it is an important source of livelihood for many families, as divers work on sailing ships according to specific systems and customs that have been inherited for hundreds of years. There are specific seasons for practicing diving in the caves of the Arabian Gulf, which are four seasons. Al-Khanjiyya, then Al-Ghous Al-Kabir, then Al-Rada, and finally Al-Rudaida.
The men of the sea suffered from the hardships of this ancient profession while riding the sea in the hot summer, where they were exposed to dangerous fish, strong winds, hot sun rays, fatigue and hardship. Many wonderful poems were written that explained their suffering in the midst of the sea waves and documented rare pictures of this ancient profession.
Some of the people of the Arabian Gulf also practiced diving in the caves of Ceylon and excelled over the Indians in collecting oysters from the sea.
In this lecture, we will highlight an important aspect of oweite history of our ancestors in their practice of the pearl diving profession.

فاز بجائزة الدولة التشجيعية عن أفضل كتاب تاريخي بدولة الكويت لعام 2010م
فاز بجائزة الإبداع الثقافي عن حقل التراث العربي عن المنظمة العربية للتربية والثقافة والعلوم ( السكو ) ومقرها تونس عام 2013م

Talal saad alrumaidhi
He was born in 1972 in Salmiya, Kuwait
He holds a university degree from the Faculty of Law at Kuwait University in 1996
Secretary-General of the Kuwaiti Writers Association during the years 2013-2019
Former editor-in-chief of Al-Bayan literary magazine, issued by the Writers’ Association
It won the State Encouragement Award for the best historical book in the State of Kuwait for the year 2010
He won the Cultural Creativity Award for the field of Arab heritage from the Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ESCO), based in Tunisia, in 2013
He participated in many seminars and conferences inside and outside Kuwait City
He presented several lectures at the General Authority for Egyptian Books, the National Council for Culture, the Egyptian Writers Union, and the General Union of Arab Writers.

The RIWAQ seminars is a cooperation between IFAO and the Faculty of Archaeology, Aïn Shams University.
