L’histoire de l’art islamique à la lumière des archives récentes au Louvre

Résumé :
Nous avons la chance au Musée du Louvre de conserver l’une des riches collections d’art islamique. Les conservateurs du musée depuis plus d’un siècle contribuent largement à la compréhension de ces œuvres par l’approche classique de leurs matériaux, techniques, datations, styles, et contextes de production. Cela demeure fondamental bien sûr. Mais les contextes internationaux récents d’accroissements du trafic illicite et du patrimoine en danger au Moyen-Orient et en Afrique nous donnent une nouvelle priorité de recherche sur l’histoire de la circulation de ces œuvres d’art islamique depuis le XIXe siècle. Dans ce sens, le département des Arts de l’Islam a récemment développé trois programmes de recherches autour de ses archives (fonds Gaston Wiet et André Godard) et des archives scientifiques françaises. Cette conférence sera l’occasion de les évoquer.

Abstract : We are lucky to keep one of the most important collection of Islamic art in the Louvre. During more then one century, the curators developped like everywhere some studies on Islamic Art History devoted to the understanding of the object, its material, its technic, its datation and cultural context. It remains fundamental of course. But the recent context in museums about provenances and in islamic countries the increasing looting or even heritage in danger during conflicts are the main reason why I decided to develop new directions for research in Islamic Art through the Louvre’s archives and more broadly through French public archives. My focus through this lecture will be mainly on 3 programs and archives : Gaston Wiet archives, André Godard one’s and the PAPSI project.

ملخص
نحن محظوظون في متحف اللوڤر بامتلاكنا واحدة من أهم مجموعات الفن الإسلامي. خلال أكثر من قرن، طور القائمون على المتحف مثل نظرائهم بعض الدراسات حول تاريخ الفن الإسلامي المخصصة لفهم القطع الأثرية: مادتها، تقنيات تصنيعها، تاريخها وسياقها الثقافي. بالطبع تلك الدراسات لا تزال أساسية. لكن السياق الحالي مؤخرًا في المتاحف يركز على دراسة المنشأ، وفي البلدان الإسلامية، فإن النهب المتزايد أو حتى التراث المعرض للخطر في أثناء النزاعات هو السبب الرئيسي وراء قراري لتطوير اتجاهات جديدة للبحث في الفن الإسلامي من خلال أرشيف متحف اللوڤر وعلى نطاق أوسع من خلال المحفوظات العامة الفرنسية. سيكون تركيزي خلال هذه المحاضرة بشكل رئيسي على ثلاث برامج بحثية تخص الأرشيف وهي: أرشيفات جاستون فييت وأندريه جودار ومشروع « جرد الأرشيف العلمي للتراث الإسلامي السوري والعراقي».
Yannick LINTZ, Ph.D. in Achaemenid History (Sorbonne University), has been director of the Islamic Art Department in the Louvre Museum since 2013. Those last years were mainly devoted to Museum studies in Islamic Art and History of Islamic collectors. As member of the Scientific Committee of the Agency France Museums in charge to work for the Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum project, she trained French curators on the idea of a Global History Museum from the point of view of the Islamic world. Other the last years, she has become known as an Art historian of the Middle East, with a focus on the transition between the Late Antiquity and the beginning of Islam, through the city of Antinoe (Egypt). Recently, she has created the PAPSI program focused on the safeguarding endangered cultural heritage in Syria and Iraqi through scientific archives survey. She also curated in 2014 the exhibition held in the Musée du Louvre “Maroc médieval”, also shown in the Modern Art Museum Mohamed VI in Rabat in 2015.

Organized by Dr Ahmad Alshoky et Abbès Zouache, RIWAQ seminars is a meeting of Egyptian and foreign specialists in the field of Islamic and Coptic archaeology, held to offer and discuss the most important opinions and theories related to the Islamic and Coptic influences in Egypt and the Islamic world in their various fields, whether Islamic architecture, art, painting, numismatics ... The RIWAQ seminars is a cooperation between IFAO and the Faculty of Archaeology, Aïn Shams University.
سلسلة ندوات رواق ينظمها كل من د. أحمد الشوكي و د. عباس زواش وهو لقاء بين المختصين المصريين والأجانب في مجال علم الآثار الإسلامية والقبطية لعرض ومناقشة أهم الآراء والنظريات المتعلقة بالتأثيرات الإسلامية والقبطية في مصر والعالم الإسلامي في مجالاتهم المختلفة سواء العمارة الإسلامية، الفن، الرسم الزخرفي، والمسكوكات. السيمنار ثمرة تعاون بين المعهد الفرنسي للآثار وكلية الآثار جامعة عين شمس.
