The Conference (in Arabic) discusses the work of the Comité de conservation des monuments de l’art arabe to restore, and in some cases transform and reinvent Mamluk minarets from the 1880s to 1950s. Three types of interventions are considered but particularly the removal of Ottoman pencil-like caps from Mamluk minarets and the reconstruction of a typical Mamluk pavilion. Relevant examples will be examined using historical sources and on site observations.
تناقش المحاضرة (باللغة العربية) أعمال لجنة حفظ الآثار العربية لترميم بعض المآذن المملوكية من ١٨٨٠ إلى ١٩٥٠، وفي بعض الحالات تغير هيئتها وإعادة إنتاجها بشكل مختلف. حيث تم دراسة ثلاثة أنواع من التدخلات، ولا سيما إزالة رؤوس المآذن العثمانية الشبيهة بالقلم الرصاص من تلك المآذن وإعادة بناء جناح على الطراز المملوكي. وسيتم عرض بعض الأمثلة ذات الصلة بإستخدام مصادر تاريخية وملاحظات من الموقع.En lien avec cet évènement
