The opening lwcture of the Ifao Papyrology Monthly Seminar is presented by Hassan Ebeid, Associate Professor in Archival Heritage , Faculty of Archaeology, Ain Shams University, and is entitled "From Soot to Script: The Materials and Recipes of Inks in Early Manuscript Traditions". The lecture is presented in arabic at the Ifao, 6 pm.

This seminar is the first of its kind to integrate the study of the three primary ancient languages of Egyptian papyri—Greek, Coptic, and Arabic—offering a unique platform for specialized research and cross-disciplinary dialogue, and is organised by Laura Aguer, Ahmed Nakshara, & Khaled Younes.
