Musiques en Egypte contemporaine. Etat des lieux et nouvelles perspectives

L’intérêt de cette rencontre est :
- d'établir un état des lieux de la recherche, qui permettra au public de mieux connaître certains pans de l’histoire des musiques égyptiennes ;
- d'amorcer une réflexion sur les nouvelles manières d’appréhender les répertoires musicaux à la lumière des enjeux nationaux.
Problématiques :
- interdits religieux
- processus de patrimonialisation
- phénomènes de globalisation.
The point of this meeting will be two-fold:
- to establish an overview of current research that can provide the public with a better understanding of certain facets of the history of Egyptian music;
- to open a discussion on new ways of understanding musical repertoires in the light of national issues.
Principal considerations:
- religious prohibitions
- process of fabricating heritage,
- phenomena of globalisation.
