Le programme NOMADES vise à structurer et renforcer les recherches portant sur les sociétés nomades et sur les formes de nomadismes au Sahara Oriental (Égypte, Soudan, est libyen).
Après la première étape dans laquelle un webinaire récurrent (Conversations  about  Nomadism) a été organisé afin de créer et animer un réseau de recherche autour du thème du nomadisme. Le premier atelier du programme NOMADES sera organisé au Caire les 23 et 24 avril afin  de favoriser des échanges entre les différentes missions archéologiques et les diverses disciplines au sein de ce réseau.

Les participants exploreront les opportunités de financement de projets pour des opérations de terrain portant spécifiquement sur les nomades, dans le cadre de missions préexistantes ou initiées à cette occasion.

The NOMADES programme aims to structure and strengthen research on nomadic societies and forms of nomadism in the Eastern Sahara (Egypt, Sudan, eastern Libya).
After the first stage in which a recurring webinar (Conversations about Nomadism) was organised to create and shape a research network around the theme of nomadism. The first workshop of the NOMADES programme will be held in Cairo on 23 and 24 April to encourage exchanges between the various archaeological missions and disciplines within the network.
Participants will explore opportunities for project funding for fieldwork focusing specifically on nomads, within the framework of pre-existing archaeological missions or new ones initiated on this occasion.
