The workshop is part of the activities of the El-Hibe Coffins Project – jointly between the Heritage Science Lab at the Faculty of Archaeology of Ain Shams/Fayoum Universities and the German Archaeological Institute Cairo, and in collaboration with the Egyptian Museum Cairo. The workshop aims to provide the participants with the opportunity to learn about the basics of (interdisciplinary) scientific publications in Egyptology and Conservation Science, and the proper procedures for scientific publication in prestigious peer-review journals in the field.

Outcomes:

Attendees will gain information on the progress and advantages related to the peer-review processes in the area of Egyptology and conservation science in Egypt. Attendees will have a better understanding of how to overcome challenges of scientific publication, how to structure research outcomes well for publication and how to submit a well-written and formatted manuscript including illustrations and tables, special fonts and hieroglyphs.

 

Target Audience:

Curators and conservators, conservation scientists, scholars of museology, archaeology and art history, and others interested in heritage science, and archaeological science studies.
