نبذة عن المحاضرة:

تعتبر الخطابات القديمة من أهم وأصدق المصادر التي وصلتنا عن حياة أسلافنا. لذا كان لظهور الخطاب القبطي في نهايات القرن الثالث أو مع بدايات القرن الرابع الميلادي، أكبر الأثر على عموم المصريين، وذلك لتمكينهم من كتابة مراسلاتهم الشخصية بلغتهم الوطنية لأول مرة بعد توقف دام لما يقرب من مائتي عام. فبعد إختفاء الديموطيقية من الأستخدام في المجال العام في أواخر القرن الأول الميلادي، كان على أغلب المصريين الذين لا يعرفون اليونانية أن يستأجروا مترج ًما لكتابة أو لقراءة خطاباتهم المكتوبة باللغة الأخيرة، لغة المراسلات الرسمية والشخصية في ذلك الوقت. ولكن مع استقرار القبطية كلغة مكتملة الأركان في حدود القرن الرابع الميلادي أصبحت كتابة

الخطابات الشخصية ممكنة وأكثر عملية في ذلك الوقت المبكر من تاريخ اللغة القبطية.

لذلك تأتي هذه المحاضرة كمحاولة لدراسة وتحليل كل من أشكال وصيغ الخطابات القبطية المبكرة (من القرن الرابع إلى القرن السادس الميلاديين). بالضافة إلى دراسة التأثيرات المتبادلة بين تقاليد كتابة الخطابات القديمة (الديموطيقية، اليونانية، القبطية).

Abstract:

Letters, which have reached us from ancient world are considered the most truthful and significant sources about our ancestors' life. Thus, the emergence of the Coptic Letter at the end of the 3rd or at the beginning of the 4th centuries AD enabled Egyptians from corresponding in the Egyptian vernacular for the first time after almost 200 years of cease. As from the end of the first century AD and due to the disappearance of the Demotic from the daily life usage, an Egyptian not acquainted to Greek had to hire a translator either to write or to read a letter written in the latter language, the official language of both official and private correspondence at the time. However, after the full establishment of the Coptic as a language around the 4th century AD it became both possible and more practical to shift from Greek to Coptic in private letters writing in this early stage.

Therefore, this online lecture attempts to analyze both the format and formulae of these early Coptic letters (from the 4th to the 6th centuries AD). It examines, moreover, the mutual influences between the Demotic, Greek, and Coptic epistolography.

The seminar "Reading historical documents from Egypt, Medieval till modern times", "Qira'at", literally means "readings, interpretations", is organized by Magdi Guirguis and Frédéric Abécassis who invite researchers who can express themselves in Arabic and present documents they comment. The presentation is usually followed by comments from the organizers and a discussion with the audience.

يعكس عنوان هذه السلسلة من الندوات "قراءات" تعدد تفسيرات الوثائق التاريخية، عنوان الندوة الكامل هو "قراءة الوثائق التاريخية من مصر من العصور الوسطى حتى العصر الحديث". ينظم الندوة مجدي جرجس وفريديريك أبيكاسيس الذين يدعون باحثين يمكنهم التعبير عن أنفسهم باللغة العربية وتقديم أحد الوثائق والتعليق عليها. عادة ما يتبع العرض التقديمي تعليقات من المنظمين ومناقشة مع الجمهور.
