• 23 window glass fragments analysed.

• Analytical techniques: electron probe microanalysis (EPMA) and spectrophotometry.

• Analysed elements: Na, K, Mg, Ca, Ba, Ti, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Cu, Zn, Al, Si, Sn, Pb, P, As, Sb, S, Cl:
– soda-lime-silica glasses, low magnesium and potassium: natron glass;
– comparison of aluminium and calcium concentrations: confirmation of the homogeneity of the assemblage;
– colouring or opacifying agents: only iron.

• provenance of the Petra Church glass:
- derived primarily from a “Levantine I” source,
- at least one of the glass samples - recycling of Roman glass.

• Secondary manufacturing process:
- majority: cylinder-blown rectangular panes,
- some: round crown window-panes.
