• 19 fragments of glass (11 fragments of ‘lampions’ found in nartex of the church, the rest from other contexts) analysed by energy-dispersive X-ray analysis in the scanning electron microscope (SEM-EDXA) for major and minor elements, and a subset of 15 glasses analysed for trace elements, using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) - chemical analyses - SiO2, TiO2, Al2O3, FeO, MnO, MgO, CaO, Na2O, K2O, Cl, SO3:
– soda-lime-silica glasses, with low potash and magnesia,
– two groups on the basis of major and minor oxides:
- Maroni Group 1(majority of the glass): higher CaO and SiO2, and lower Na2O, FeO, MgO, MnO and TiO2: similar compositions - “Levantine I” glass.
- Maroni Group 2: higher FeO, MgO, MnO, TiO2 and Na2O, lower CaO and SiO2: similar compositions - HIMT glass.

• Question with regards to relationship between glass composition, workshops and raw materials:
– limited evidence for recycling in the Maroni glass,
– the majority of glass probably transported to Cyprus in chunk form, to be remelted into sheet and vessels in local workshops.
