• Archaeological contexte: Stratum I building identified as a church or a monastery.
• Examples of glass objects from Khirbet el-Baṭiya:
– “gold sandwich” glass tiles: gold leafs - cruciform patterns; lower layer of glass - light purple, elsewhere the glass - colourless (with slight yellowish, greenish or brownish tinge). The gold-glass titles as part of church wall decoration or others elements (for example, altar);
– drinking glasses.
