VITTO, Fanny
Byzantine Mosaics at Bet Sheʿarim: New Evidence for the History of the Site
ʿAtiqot 28
Israel Antiquities Authority, Jerusalem, 1996, p. 115-146

[301, 600]
• Archaeological context: salvage excavation of a building with some mosaics on the floor.

• Remarks on glass objects from Bet Sheʿarim:
– some pieces show malformation, probably local production;
– ingots and glass lumps found in all areas of excavation, mainly near the water-channel: they come from the close glass factory discovered before (Late Roman until the Byzantine Period).
