• Archaeological context: a segment of the southernmost defence line of the Byzantine fortifications of Caesarea Maritima.
.• Example of glass objects from Caesarea Maritima:
– lamps:
- the majority of objects (about four hundred) are lamps with hollow stem base (fig. 19; 20) ;
- fragment of lamp with solid stem (fig. 20: 1);
- fragment of bowl-shaped lamp with handles (fig. 18: 19);
- fragment of conicalshaped lamp (fig. 18: 17);
– fragments of window panes (?).
