La date double de découverte de cette statue extrêmement fragmentée a été donnée comme telle par Legrain:1914, 6: « trouvée en 1904 et 1905 en plusieurs morceaux ». D’après le numéro K attribué à la statue, le premier ou plus signifiant de ces fragments a dû être mis au jour le 2 ou 3 juin 1904. L’objet porte distinctement le seul numéro 42197 (rouge).
