Panel 110 mm x 55 mm, composed of four separate architectural and figural appliqués, affixed to a flat plaque-like panel by 11 extant circular wooden dowels. Probably from a small box or casket, most likely intended to hold cosmetics, perfume or toilette articles. Carved in deep relief image of Aphrodite inside an architectural naos, combining classical and Egyptian motifs and evoking Egyptian goddesses Hathor and Isis. Iconography of the goddess referring to the Rhodian Aphrodite type is discussed in the article.
