Wooden measure (sub-chapter IV, p. 77, Pl. XIII,b), circular in section with sloping sides, slightly wider at bottom than at top, fastened together with wooden pegs, repaired by means of a piece of thick copper wire (anciently?), H. 13.3 cm, Dia. 18-21.5 cm (inside), capacity 4.524 cubic centimeters, uninscribed. Well used. Possibly for dry goods, like corn, capacity equal to 9 henew. Unknown provenance, “Coptic” period dating suggested by the Museum Register (J.29864).
