Dans la ville de Baalbek ont été mis au jour les vestiges de sept bains. Les deux hammams respectivement situés dans le Bustan el-Khan et le Bustan Nassif sont présentés et discutés dans cet article. Leurs plans, leur datation et leurs similitudes avec les bains contemporains de la ville de Damas sont analysés. L’article pose notamment la question de savoir si ces hammams doivent être considérés comme des bains urbains ou comme des bains provinciaux subissant des influences locales.

In the city of Baalbek were unearthed the remains of seven baths. Both hammams respectively located in the Bustan el-Khan and the Bustan Nassif are presented and discussed in this article. Their plans, chronology and affiliations with contemporary baths in Damascus are analyzed. A major issue is whether these hammams should be considered as urban or as provincial baths undergoing local influences.
