Trois autres portes des premiers Ptolémées sont publiées dans cet article, ce qui porte à six le nombre de ces monuments à Médamoud. Elles sont la marque des profondes rénovations initiées par Ptolémée II, et poursuivies par Ptolémée III et Ptolémée IV.

L’étude architecturale des portes permet de restituer un mur pylône de Ptolémée II, composé des six portes retrouvées en remploi dans les fondations du mur-pylône des derniers Ptolémées.

Les scènes et textes qui ont pu être reconstitués ici s’inscrivent dans la tradition thébaine adaptée aux caractéristiques locales. Les dédicaces sont à Montou et les dieux salués par le roi à l’entrée sont des « Seigneurs mystérieux de formes ».

Three other doors of the first Ptolemies are published in this article, bringing up to six the number of these monuments at Medamud. They are the signs of profound renovations initiated by Ptolemy II, and pursued by Ptolemy III and Ptolemy IV.

The architectural study of the doors leads to an architectural reconstruction of a wall-pylon of Ptolemy II which is formed of six gates found reused in the foundations of the wall-pylon of the last Ptolemies.

The scenes and texts which have been reconstituted here are in the Theban tradition adapted to local characteristics. The dedications are to Montu and the gods greeted by the king at the entrance are the « mysterious Lords of forms ».
