• Examples of glass objects from Ashmunein:

– 5th century context:
- rim and upper body fragment of conical lamp with blue blobs applied outside (Y 38): residual in the 6th to 8th century context;
- base of amphoriskos (Y 39).

– 6th to 7th century context:
- neck and upper body fragment of bottle, with everted rim (Y 57);
- fragment of rectangular-sectioned mould blown bottle with vertical walls (Y 63): 7th century context;
- fragments of stemmed drinking glasses (Y 66 and 66 bis);
- folded handle (part of lamp ?) (Y 76): A.D. 600-650 context.

– 8th to 9th century context:
- fragments of deep bowls with nearly vertical sides and convex floor (Y 7, 8, 10, 13, 15);
- fragments of shallow plates with walls expanded outward and undulating floor (Y 1, 2, 3, 4, 5).

– Conjectural 8th to 10th century context:
- fragments of bowls with curved vertical walls and “eye” ornaments impressed with tongs (Y 28, 29, 30);
- segmented neck fragment from bottle (Y 53);
- neck fragment from bottle, with wide, everted rim; cut decoration (Y 58).
