• Glass in the Central Balkans:
– 9th-11th century: glass jewelry.
– 12th-middle of the 15th century: table glass vessels, lamps, crown glass (especially in the churchs), jewelry.
• Origin of glass bracelets:
– some imported from the Byzantine world,
– most of them made in local workshops on the Byzantine models.
• Origin of glass vessels, lamps and windows:
– imported from the Byzantine world (12th - middle of the 14th century),
– imported from Murano (since the end of the 13th century),
– made in Dubrovnik workshops (from the first quarter of the 14th century to third decade of the 14th century),
– Central Europe as a possible origin for these glasses (15th century).
• Some exemples of the glass objects found in the Central Balkans:
– bracelets with cold-painted or incrusted decoration,
– glass as a substitute for precious and semiprecious stones in jewelry,
– beakers and cups decorated with prunts,
– hanging lamps.
