• Archaeological context: part of a town discovered in the ruins of a temple built and developed from the Pharaonic to the Roman Period.

• Examples of glass objects found at Armant:

– Late Roman Period (most of the glass fragments):
- bowl on stem (fig. LXXXV, 5);
- three fragments with engraved decoration (fig. LXXXV, 2, 3, 4);
- fragment of a jar base with three pinched toes (fig. LXXXV, 6);
- fragment of a shallow mould-blown bowl (fig. LXXXV, 8);
- fragments of rims of shallow bowls with fillets (fig. LXXXV, 9, 10, 11);
- fragment of a black bracelet decorated with pointed impression;
- two sets of fragments of mosaic glass inlay (fig. LXXXV, 136 ; LXXXVI).

– Arabic Period:
- fragment of a deep bowl with lozenge-and-circle pattern impressed with tongs (fig. LXXXV, 23);
- fragment of a beaker with traces of gilded lines, between which a row of spots of blue enamel (fig. LXXX, 24);
- portion of the handle of a globular hanging lamp;
- base of a bottle-flask with rough-cut linear design (fig. LXXX, 26);
- three fragments of flasks with marvered decoration;
- fragment of the body of an heptagonal bottle-flask with lustre-painted decoration (fig. LXXXV, 33).
