Les bains de L. Iulius Agrippa, identifiés par une inscription de dédicace, sont situés au centre de la ville, sur la grande colonnade. Datés par cette inscription du début du IIe siècle de notre ère, ils font sans doute partie du programme de reconstruction mené par la ville suite au séisme de 115. L’édifice a fait l’objet d’un premier dégagement dans les années 1970, mais restait en grande partie inédit. Les fouilles complémentaires menées en 2009, malgré leur faible surface, ont permis d’en préciser le fonctionnement et la chronologie. De très nombreuses transformations architecturales ont ainsi été mises en évidence jusqu’à l’abandon du monument à la période byzantino-omeyyade.

The Baths of L. Iulius Agrippa, identified by a dedicatory inscription, are located in the center of the city, along the great colonnade. Dated by the inscription of the early 2nd century AD, they are probably part of the reconstruction program conducted by the city after the earthquake of 115 AD. The building was first excavated in the 1970s, but remained largely unpublished. Additional excavations were carried out in 2009 and although quite limited, helped to clarify its function and chronology. Numerous architectural changes have been highlighted until the abandonment of the baths in the Byzantine-Umayyad period.
