Les quatre fragments de statues royales présentement étudiés sont conservés dans les sous-sols du Musée égyptien du Caire. Inédits jusqu’alors, ils ne sont pas enregistrés au Journal d’entrée. Malgré l’absence d’information à leur sujet, ils proviennent sans doute du temple de Karnak ou de la Cachette de Karnak, car ils se trouvaient dans une boîte qui contenait d’autres fragments de statues ayant cette origine. L’une des pièces est la tête fragmentaire d’un roi, Amenhotep II probablement. Deux autres, aussi des visages, peuvent être attribués à Amenhotep III. La dernière est un chaouabti momiforme acéphale et anépigraphe appartenant à Amenhotep III. Toutes les datations proposées se fondent sur des critères stylistiques ainsi que sur une analyse des traits iconographiques.

All four fragments of the royal statues to be discussed in this article are held in the basement of the Egyptian Museum, Cairo. They have not been published prior to this paper and do not have registration numbers. Although there is no information on their provenance, they most likely originate from Karnak Temple or the Karnak Cachette, due to the fact that they were located in a box containing other statue fragments from Karnak Temple.

The first fragment dealt with in the paper is the face of a king, probably Amenhotep II. The second and third also represent the face of a king and can both be attributed to Amenhotep III. The fourth is an un-inscribed headless mummiform shawabty statue of Amenhotep III. The four fragmented statues are dated on the basis of the stylistic characteristics, as well as iconographic and artistic features.
