L’article est une publication et une étude d’un ostracon du Nouvel Empire trouvé à Amheida, intéressant à plus d’un titre. D’une part, les sections XV-XVI de la Kemyt qu’il contient sont relativement rares et de nouvelles versions sont toujours susceptibles d’aider à mieux comprendre la signification très discutée de ce texte. D’autre part, le scribe ayant fait une erreur de mémoire fournit un indice involontaire quant aux pratiques d'enseignement. Enfin, le lieu de découverte dans l’oasis de Dakhla montre l’existence d’un programme national pour l’éducation des scribes.

The publication and discussion of a New Kingdom ostracon found at Amheida has several points of interest. Firstly, sections XV-XVI of Kemyt, where it states that the ostracon contains relatively rare information and new evidence, may assist in bringing together the widely divergent opinions as to its meaning. Secondly, the scribe makes a memory mistake that provides insight into teaching practices.
