• Examples of glass objects from the North-West Church area in Hippos:

– Roman Period (pre-church occupation of the site):
- fragments of hemispherical mould cast bowls with horizontal cut grooves (fig. 1: 34-35);
- fragment of “pillar-moulded” bowl (fig. 1: 36).

– Byzantine and Umayyad Periods (church and church area):
- fragments of bottles with funnel-shaped rim, cylindrical neck and very thin shoulder (fig. 1: 1-4);
- drinking glass with the mould-blown relief net design (fig. 1: 15);
- lamps:
fragments of bowl-lamps with three handles (fig. 1: 23),
fragments of stemmed bowl-lamps : hollow stem (fig. 1: 24) and solid, knobbed stem (fig. 1: 25),
two bronze ‘polycandela’ (fig. 2);
- fragments of flasks compsed of two or more tubes for kohl (fig. 1: 26-27);
- fragments of window glass (fig. 1: 33).
