La date de découverte fournie par Legrain:1906, 56 est « février 1904 ». Legrain:1906, 57 signale aussi que cette statue a été « [t]rouvée en plusieurs morceaux, en des endroits et des niveaux différents » et composée « de plusieurs morceaux rajustés ». JdF 1903-1904, 36, mentionne la découverte le 4 février d'« un fragment du torse d'Amon embrassé par Harmhabi » et qui est manifestement le premier d'entre eux. La « Liste des statues découvertes » (JdF 1903-1904, 38) signale déjà l'objet comme « 27. Triade de Turin » (cf. Turin Cat. 767) ce qui donne à penser que des fragments de la déesse Mout ont aussi été retrouvés qui ont permis cette association. De fait au JE 36651 c'est le « Haut d'un groupe composé du roi coiffé [couronne], entre Ammon et Isis » qui est enregistré vers la mi-mars 1904.
