La date de découverte au 1/3/1904 est fournie par Legrain:1906, 44 avec le numéro de JdF 60. Toutefois le JdF 1903-1904, 43 n'atteste aucune fouille ce jour-là, précisant même que après les fouilles du 29/2/1904 « Le 2 Mars les fouilles ont été reprises… ». De plus dans la lettre à Maspero du 22/2/1904 (Ms 4027, f° 326-327), Legrain affirme: « (…) nous avons repris nos recherches dans le trou aux statues. La soixantième est sortie avant hier ». Il mentionne ensuite la découverte de quatre statues: « Une statuette de Thoutmès III, une autre d’Amenothès II, une d’un Horkheb, une de Nesi Ptah père de Montouemhat ». De fait JdF 1903-1904, 40-41 atteste la découverte de 17 objets le 20/2/1904 dont une statue de Thoutmosis III (K44), Horemakhbit (K45) et Nesptah (K46). Une « statue d’Aménothès II Pierre verte » a été ajoutée en bleu en fin de liste sous le numéro 60. Cette statue incomplète est (comme cela est visible sur la photo Legrain:1906, pl. 47) composée de 2 fragments remontés ce qui explique la différence de 17 cm entre la dimension donnée au JE et celle fournie au CG. Une des photographies de fouilles (Azim, Réveillac:2004, II, 224) montre la statue au moment de sa découverte, non encore restaurée, et le bas de jambes y manque. L’hypothèse la plus vraisemblable est donc que la “soixantième” statue du 20/2/1904 est bien la partie haute de K60 et que la date de découverte donnée par Legrain:1906 correspond à son ajout au JdF après la découverte du fragment inférieur, le 1/3/1904.
